About us
We are a first opinion Veterinary surgery with two branches. One is located in Harold Hill (Romford) and the other is in Elm Park (Hornchurch). We are proudly independent and are still owned by the same vet who opened the Harold Hill branch in 1986, Michael Malone.
We are an RCVS accredited practice, meaning we work to a high set of standards set out by our governing body.
We have a full team of vets, veterinary nurses and support staff. Many staff members have worked for the practice for years, supporting patients as puppies and kittens right through to their older years.
We see small animals (Dogs and cats) and are also happy to see small mammals such as rabbits and guinea pigs. One of our permanent vets is a certificate holder in exotic species, meaning we can offer care to more unusual patients as well such as reptiles and birds.
Our mission is to provide the local area with great care for their pets at an affordable price.

Opening Hours
Both practices are open Monday - Friday 9am - 6:30pm
Our Harold Hill branch is open on a Saturday 9am - 6:30pm
Our Elm Park branch is open on a Sunday 10am - 6:30pm
If you have an emergency outside of these hours please call us and you will be given the contact number for our out of hours service.

NB: If you have an emergency please call the practice directly so we can advise you and ensure your pet is seen swiftly for treatment. Our email inbox is not monitored continuously so should only be used for general enquiries.
Out-Of-Hours Care
Outside of our usual opening hours, out-of-hours care for our patients is provided by The Wylie Veterinary Centre (WVC). WVC is an RCVS accredited hospital. They can be contacted outside of our usual opening hours on 01708 251500 and are located at 196 Hall Lane, Upminster, RM14 1TD.
If you call either one of our branches outside of our normal opening hours you will be given the emergency number for WVC also.
Out-of-hours care is provided between the hours of 7pm and 9am

Services provided include an Out-Of-Hours consultation service, our clients can contact WVC and if needed can take their pets to them for urgent/emergency treatment. We can also transfer unwell patients to WVC overnight so that they receive round the clock care when needed or requested by the owner.
For Out-Of-Hours on Bank Holidays (including Christmas) between the hours of 9am and 7pm a service is provided for our clients from either our Elm Park or Harold Hill branches, just call us as normal and you will be connected to the open branch, or given an emergency contact number to ring.
