Detailed Price List and Pricing Information

This is a reference list for some of our most common procedures and consultations. Some have a flat cost and some will have a range as they may depend on the severity of a condition or on your pet’s weight.

Unless stated, these estimates DO NOT include the costs of medication such as pain relief which your pet may go home with after a procedure so please bare this in mind. Please contact us for bespoke estimates for your pet’s treatment and we will be happy to assist.

There may be some cases where we cannot provide an estimate without your pet being examined by a vet first, or without one of our vets accessing your pets medical history if they have been seen at another vets. This is usually for more complex cases where costs can vary more widely.

Written Prescription Costs

A written prescription can be requested for your pet’s medication, this then allows you to purchase the medication elsewhere, for example, with an online pharmacy.

Written prescription costs are as follows:

Written Prescription for one medication: £18.00

Any additional medications added to the same prescription: £8.00 per medication

Written Prescription for a controlled drug: £20.00

Any additional controlled drugs added to the same prescription: £10.00 per medication

Written prescriptions should be requested with the expectation that they will be sent to your pharmacy of choice within 48 hours (please note this includes our working days only, so longer periods may apply over weekends/bank holidays)

We send this prescription to your chosen pharmacy so you can order directly through them. Generally prescriptions are sent via email, if the prescription is for a controlled drug it has to be sent via post so will take longer to arrive at your pharmacy. We no longer give prescriptions directly to clients due to prescription fraud.

Pets do need to be seen at intervals for mediation check ups, if you submit a request and your pet is due for a check up we will contact you to let you know. The general cost for a medication check up is £34.50 (this does not include treatment and any ongoing monitoring tests advised).

The amount of medication available on the written prescription is dependent on when the patient is next due for a medication check up. If the prescription is for a controlled drug there are strict rules for prescribing these, and prescriptions will usually only be for one month of medication.
